Spray On Bed Liner Reviews
I suppose that the tens of thousands of dollars you spent on your new truck would imply that you value what your specific truck does for you. I would assume that there would be a significant value in insuring that your truck is protected properly in order to hold its value better, to perform better, to last longer and to keep your cargo safe as well. If you have been around trucks for any significant amount of time, then you know the "Bed Liner Secrets." For those of you who don't know what they are, let me set you straight (when you were old enough somebody had to tell you that Santa Clause was fake). This information is worth thousands of dollars, at least that is what it set me back, in order to figure it out on my own.
"Bed Liner Secret NO. 1"
No matter how much you pay for a "spray on" bed liner (even if you pay for extra) it is just a matter of time before it is going to fade. Because of this nobody warranties their product against fading. It is like they know exactly what is going to happen to your truck before you ever have it installed. Then when you bring it to the attention of the installer, they will say to you "Weird we don't see this very often, but we can touch it up and give it a fresh look." That is all well and good, until they tell you the price, HOLY COW!
"Bed Liner Secret NO. 2"
A "Spray In" Bed Liner can NOT be taken out. No matter how bad it looks, it is virtually impossible to take it out. Part of the reason you would not want to take it out is because you would likely damage the sheet metal and the trucks finish would already be compromised leaving no protection from anything. We all know how long it takes bare unprotected metal to rust, not long. This is probably not as much of a secret as much as an issue that is not often thought about. Once your bed liner deteriorates what are you supposed to do?
"Bed Liner Secret NO. 3"
A "Spray On" bed liner will not always increase your trucks resale. If the average length of ownership for a truck is 63.9 months, which it currently is, then what kind of shape will your "Spray In" Bed Liner be in? Did you know that a huge part of the trucks value is based upon overall appearance? I would like to challenge you to find a "Spray On" bed liner that is 63.9 months old and take that into consideration. My buddy had his done roughly 36 months ago and it already looked awful.
Due to incredible advances in Thermo/ Vacuum forming it is now possible to make a flawless bed liner. With the strictest tolerances Dual Liner bed liner systems has developed a bed liner that follows the identical contour of the trucks box. Since it is exact there is no room for it to shift around, thus eliminating the possibility of chaffing, which by the way was the major problem with the old style "Drop In" bed liners. The Dual Liner is made using materials with high carbon content, this greatly reduces the effect that the sun and its harmful rays are going to have on it, providing the first real lifetime bed liner. The Dual Liner can be taken out easily if you wish, it only takes 30 minutes or less to take it out or to install it back in your truck. Dual Liner uses super tough polyethylene panels to protect the sidewalls, tail gate and load guard. To protect the bed, Dual Liner goes with the most advanced bed mat ever built, it is called the Zero Skid Bed Mat. It is made from high grade rubber that remains very pliable even when cold, this keeps your cargo in place. It is a full 3/8ths of an inch thick and has hundreds of rubber cleats located on the underside. These soft cleats keep the bed mat from laying flat on the trucks finish, that also provides an excellent way for water to reach the desired drain holes that the factory incorporates into the trucks box. The Dual Liner has a Lifetime Warranty, plus the warranty is transferable to the next owner of the truck. No other bed liner manufacturer carries a lifetime transferable warranty, that is quite a statement about how the Dual Liner is going to perform and last.
In an effort to answer the question in the title of this article, I would like to respond by saying, There is no way that you could afford not to get a Dual Liner for your truck!
